I recently placed a small Colour Pop order because I had heard wonderful things about their Lippie Stix, and I really wanted to try them out for myself. I ordered The Lippie Stix in the shades Frida and Lumiere, and a Lippie Pencil in the shade Lumiere. Read on to discover my thoughts on these products!

The handwritten note is a nice touch! |
Frida is a shade that was developed by YouTube's Coffee Break with Dani. It is described as a warm mid-tone nude pink with a satin finish, and Dani explains that it is
“For the woman fueled by a substantial amount of coffee.” I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed in this color. On the website and on YouTube videos I have watched, Frida appears to be a true pinky-nude, and I was super excited about it because it looks amazing on Dani and everyone else who tries it. Unfortunately, it came off a tad on the orange side, which with my current pale, cool skin tone is a bit harsh. Luckily, I tend to pick up a little bit of color in the summer, so perhaps it will look better when I have a warmer complexion. For now it will sit and wait in my makeup drawer.

Aside from the shades themselves, the formula of the Lippie Stix is amazing! The color glides on smoothly, is richly pigmented, and lasts for hours without feeling dry. The product has a nice vanilla scent that is very pleasant. The Lippie pencil, while not a total must have, really adds to the longevity of the lip color. I'm happy that I purchased both the Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil in Lumiere, because when I apply the two together, I barely have to touch it up throughout the course of the day. Overall, these are very comfortable lip products that perform exceptionally well, and I am happy that I gave Colour Pop a try!
Below is a side by side comparison of the colors:

Suffice it to say that I am quite pleased with the Colour Pop Lippie Stix and Pencils; for $5 a pop (hehe) the products are well worth the price, and I will definitely be ordering more in the future. I'm keeping my hopes up that Frida will work better for me in the summer, but in the meantime I'm looking forward to trying out other shades of the lip products, as well as their eye shadows and their new blushes!
Do you own any Colour Pop items? What are your thoughts on them?
